View Full Version : Large Scale SEO Programs - Who's Traffic is Biggest?

Years ago, I recall seeing a slide from About.com at SES (or pubcon) that described how much traffic they get from SEO.

My guess is that they (about.com) must be one of the top 10 or so sites that receive the most SEO traffic.

With scale, comes a whole new set of issues that don't exist until you start getting tens of millions of pages indexed...then, micro changes only work & make business sense if they impact the ROI to a significant degree.

As often we SEO people do :) I've been wondering - what other companies of scale do a good job with SEO?

eBay, CNET, Amazon? Others?

Promediacorp started a similar thread (http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/showthread.php?t=7497) a few weeks ago and suggested Craigslist. My suggestion was Wikipedia, but I think both of those have different large scale issues than About.com as most the content on Wikipedia + Craigslist is user driven.
