I'm trying to identify a vintage bathrobe. The label says only "ickaway" since the first one or two letters are missing.

I tried a search on various engines with *ickaway and ?ickaway, but neither worked.

Any tips on how to search when missing the first letter?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi marknyc

Netscape offers a 'wildcard' feature - but it can't be the first letter!

:(

wild card characters are useful when you're not sure of how your search term is spelled. Wild card characters can offer additional control and flexibility. These characters act as placeholders for one or more characters in a search term. Search terms with a wild card character in the first character position will be treated as illegal queries. Additionally, you should avoid the use of wild card characters in any of the first three character positions due to the time required to perform these types of searches. There are three important wild card characters to be aware of: the dollar sign ($), the question mark (?) and the asterisk (*)

Hi BP

I think you missed this - first one or two letters - so its not just 26 options.... there are over 600 options .....

It's an interesting question.... maybe GG can help?

Well, I found the answer the old-fashioned way - I ripped the tag out! It's made by KickAway Garments, but there's nothing on the web about the company.

If anyone has an answer to this question, tho, I'd still like to know for future reference.
