Sorry for the long post :o :

Hi,

I used to have one Adwords Campaign with all my keywords. I recently decided to make seperate campaigns inorder to make specific ads for groups of keywords, to improve my CTR etc.

Unfortunately, ever since I did this, my ads are NOT showing for any of the campaigns. When I made the different campaigns, my ads for some keywords were showing (e.g. 'hello' in a particular Campaign). However most of my main keywords were not (e.g. 'goodbye' in the same Campaign).

I tried the Ads Diagnostic Tool for the keywords which didn't show, which told me that the CTR did not meet the minimum requirement - but the ad had never even shown, not 1 impression so how could it meet the requirement if it was not given the chance?! Later it told me that the CPC is lower than the recommended, but I also set it to £60 and still got the same error!

When I checked my Adwords later that day, I was horrified to realize another problem - none of my ads were showing! The Ads Diagnostic Tool stated that my daily budget has been reached and exceeded when it clearly hadn't!

So, I tried raising the daily budget but it made no difference. I eventually deleted all the campaigns and made them again.

The same problem occured. Most of my ads were showing except my main ones e.g. 'goodbye' as mentioned above. But then 5 minutes later none of my ads were showing and the Ads Diagnostic Tool, again, said my daily budget had been reached - my budget was more than enough and the Budget Recommendation Tool informed, 'Budget is OK'!

As you can see, because of this, I raised my daily budget for all of my campaigns to £5000, a figure my campaign can never reach and the Ad Diagnostic Tool still said my daily budget has been reached and exceeded!

I have also noticed that although my ads appeared for the first 5 minutes of the Search results, they have NEVER appeared for Content results eventhough I have turned it on.

Something else which I have realized is that when using the Ads Diagnostic Tool - I search for the a keyword I get the error:

Ad not shown | Reason: Your campaign has reached and exceeded its daily budget.

However, when I use Option 2: Search Results Page URL of the Ads Diagnostic Tool and I type in the URL for for the keyword search -

I get the error:

Ad not shown | Reason: The user is located outside your campaign's geo-targeting area.

But I am sure USA - .com has been selected in My Campaign.

This morning, I saw that my campaigns, altogether, had very few impressions and clicks - much less than usual and I used the Ads Diagnostic Tool - and to my surprise - 'Budget Exceeded'!

Hope you can help!

-Thanks :)

On ad delivery issues, it's almost always best just to contact Google directly so they can unstick things for you. The diagnostic tool sounds misleading, if your budget isn't really exceeded. Wonder why that would happen. Guess that's why I've stopped looking at it...

I agree with Andrew contact Google and get them to help you fix things.
If you are determined to do it yourself, first delete the campaign entirely.

Then start it all from scratch... open a new account/campaign and do everything to get back to the set up you had previously. There is always the possibility that the system has some glitch and is reading something wrong... as opposed to finding where... kill it and start over.
