I asked a question on alias's last week and am not happy I got the information I needed.
My client has a .ie domain that is listing well in google.com. However they are not listing at all in google.co.uk for the .ie domain. They want to focus on the uk market and so are looking for ways to direct traffic from the UK.
My question is; If I buy a .co.uk domain and set it it as an alias for the .ie site what will happen?
1. Will google.co.uk now list the .ie site contents using the co.uk domain?
2. Will the .ie site be impacted in any way?
3. What method of re-direction should be used, the 301 is for a permanent re-direct, right?
