I'm launching a Google Adwords campaign soon and I'm bidding on a lot of low volume terms. I'd like to make the ads as relevant as possible by including the search term in the ad, when appropriate. I'm finding it quite cumbersome to set up a different ad group for each term just so that I can have the keyword in the ad.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can cut down on the amount of time spent on creating these many ad groups?

Thanks in advance!

I'd love to hear any advice on this too. I'm in the early phases of setting up what will be tens of thousands of keywords and tens of thousands of ads. It's a tedious process to say the least...

My suggestion is to use adgroups for words that are variations of the same word. If you are doing 10s of thousands then youhave to be at the level of grouping in say the base word "widget" (the group name) and the actual words every variation and negative you can work out.

This way you can use keyword insert for the title and a relevant description for the rest:

{Keyword: Benefits of Widgets}

Use benefits not features in the description and insert with an alternative will help with the ad numbers... though you want to AB test at least two at a time if you are not also testing landing pages (in which case use 4 and use tracking code on the ads not the words).
