Google Adwords Robots Handling Change?

We have recently set up a new statistics program and it has shown a big dip in traffic the last two days.

After investigating i suspect it may be something to do with adwords.

My hunch is that robots were allowed to follow links but were not counted as a click, then a few days ago they changed this system to block robots completely from following links.

Anyone else notice anything to suggest this or have any knowledge on how robots handle adwords and if they might follow links, etc?

Unless they are Click Fraud bots... robots are not following Google's Adword links.

Even the Adsense program generally avoids this by being a javascript as opposed to hard coded links.
