Converstion ratio

Does anyone know what the average conversion ratio is for people using AdWords. I am sure it is different per industry or products but was wondering if there was some sort of study on this.

Anyone offering you these numbers should be taken about as seriously as the people who will submit your site to 500 search engines.

There are way too many variables in that question to provide even an idea. The impact of landing pages, the actual ads, the position of the keywords and the keywords themselves and the match type....
