Yahoo has started sending out official invites to publishers to begin beta testing the new YPN (beyond those who were testing it before the beta announcement). All 2000 won't be added at once, but added in a rolling fashion.

You can apply to be considered for the beta here (http://advision.webevents.yahoo.com/scp/viewer/index.php?loc=USYPN0011&client_id=5468&event_id=15952).

Has anyone received an official invite yet?

I have applied but it will not come to me I think, as I am based in UK. They should roll out the beta Beta version to a few bods and get testing straightaway. I would welcome some competition for adwords. The other competitors (Kanoodle, ask, etc) are so useless

I was accepted by YPN. I must say that so far i am satisfied with the results. They seem to still be ironing out a few minor kinks (ads seem unrelated to content when first added), but all else is fine. Revenue wise, their pay out is higher than adsense' by comparison. Keywords and terms are still the key. On yahoowealth.com there is a free list of their highest paying words. In some cases, their out put is higher than google's. Ad types, colors and sizes are the same as adsense.

So far so good, is what i have to say.

Nope, staying with what's been working until demonstration of a better alternative is publicized, including details.

I received the invite a month ago and am experimenting with it on one of my test websites. So far the targetting is waaaaay off, but hopefully it will improve as time goes on. My test site is one about farming, yet 90 percent of the Yahoo! Publisher ads are about Vonage and other techie stuff (obviously not related to the page content at all).

The good part is that they're very high paying keywords. The bad part is hardly anyone clicks them. I still prefer Google AdSense, but it will be interesting to see how things go with Yahoo!.

Have you tried the new ad targeting feature to improve ad relevancy?

I noticed you using AdSense again, Jen - YPN not doing well for you?

I have only been doing limited testing of YPN at this time... most of my contextual ad inventory is still AdSense.

If you are referring to JenSense, I have been doing a 50/50 rotation between AdSense and YPN since the beginning of the month, and will be posting my findings comparing the two. The other two sites I was running YPN on are still 100% YPN.
