I have fierce competition from hundreds of competitors in my product catagory. I found a unique two word key phrase with about 20,000 searches a month that only two of my competitors are listed for, a potential mini goldmine. As soon as I publish a page optimized for this phrase, other competitors will soon notice it and add their own pages, effectively ruining my discovery. Is there a good way to "hide" this page without damaging se rankings? Would it be better to develop a separate domain for each unique, high traffic, noncompetitive keyword? Or should I only use PPC w/"noindex" command to prevent spiders from indexing the entry page? A drawback is that PPC is fairly expensive at .60 to $1 a click for 1st page listings. I've been reading a little about doorway, gateway, or entry pages and sitemaps, but I haven't found a good way to hide pages from the competition in the organic lisitings and get good rankings. The problem seems to be that I must include a link from my site to the entry page, where any competing webmaster can find it?
