View Full Version : URLs indexed--but no content?!

I recently relaunched my site (June 6), after overhauling the IA and the content. My old URLs gradually disappeared out of the index, and recently 124 URLs appeared in the index (when I do a site: search). But none of those URLs show a title or description, and none of the website pages show up in search results--even when I search using a unique string of words from a page.
Help! Anyone have any suggestions??
I have done nothing even remotely spammy, I don't have dynamic URLs, and there are plenty of legitimately acquired links pointing to the site.

The URL only listing usually means that G knows about the link (URL) but has not spidered and/or indexed the actual page. Are you excluding the pages in anyway in robots.txt or with meta robots (check for any wild card disallows in robots.txt)? Do the URLs show as "Supplemental Index"?

Okay, feel free to laugh. My web designer put up a robots.txt file disallowing all access. I had asked him to put that up for the staging server, and he got industrious and put it up for the live site, too.
It's always something obvious, isn't it?
