I have multiple RSS feeds that I want to promote to users for implementing on their site. As many people have different server platforms I'd like to avoid providing code for each platform. Is there one universal way to do it that will allow the 3rd party sites to easily implement the feed into their content and still make them indexable by spiders? I have looked into java options but continue to read that these will not be indexable. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

RSS feed is simply an other type of format, like txt file but in XML format.

RSS 2.0 is widely accepted and it was recommended at the WMW conference last week.

I am well aware of what RSS is, but when you are trying to get other sites to place your RSS feed content into their site, to expect them to program the necessary code to translate from the .xml file to .html if they are not familiar with RSS is another story. We want to make it as simple as possible, java solutions do promote indexing by msot search engines. So i am trying to find a solution that would not require us to program this out for each possible server configuration.

Thanks,
Vic

OOOOO!

Sorry about that, I use this type of feed http://www.seroundtable.com/pda.html

It is powered by http://www.feedroll.com/rssviewer/ and maybe that can help you with this question.

It looks like your feed uses Javascript. I'm tryign to find a solution that does not require Java as its not search friendly. Any others???

agreen - there are many places to submit your feed to. Just search in Google and also make sure to add it to your "My Yahoo" to get picked up by Yahoo.
