Hi

Every body here talks about some techniques used for optimization but I do not see what they obtained by using them. So, I decided to start a new thread where to post real results obtained by using these thechniques. I'll describe the tested technique, html code used, result pages and then I'll try to make some minor conclusions. Everybody wi'll take they ownes.

Other can publish here their own test results, but they must post link to search results, so the tested page sholud be alive. Any comments are welcome.
So let's start.

Techniques number 1:
KEYWORD PROXIMITY TEST

2 files were used to kame that test:
test1.html and test 2.html. Both are identical for title, description, keywords, etc, but in test1.html the order on body text was changed as follow:

test1.html:
<p>barabulete mancare bautura oftica barabulete</p>
test2.html:
<p>barabulete mancare bautura barabulete oftica </p>

As you can see the last two words were inversed.

Search google for:
http://www.google.fr/search?num=10&hl=enr&q=barabulete

Expand the omitted results and the see what is the order in result:
1. test.html(that's used for other test, not for proximity, but for linearization)
2. test1.html - http://www.optimizari.ro/test/test1.html test1.html
3. test2.html - url: http://www.optimizari.ro/test/test2.html test2.html

Conclusions: It doesn't seems that google take care for keyword proximity as far as in the first result the page the page number 2(test2.html) wasn't even displayed(requires display omitted items).
So as far as I'm concerd keyword proximity theory has no relevancy.

I expect test result to be infirmed.

test1.html:
<p>barabulete mancare bautura oftica barabulete</p>
test2.html:
<p>barabulete mancare bautura barabulete oftica</p>

I wonder how the this test would change if you ommitted the first barabulete on both pages. Since the keyword is first on both pages they may be putting less weight or no weight to the keyword being mentioned a second time - as far as proximity goes I mean.

Like this:

test1.html:
<p>mancare bautura oftica barabulete</p>
test2.html:
<p>mancare bautura barabulete oftica</p>

What do you think?

What do you think?

Which means the order in paragraph. Ok, we will try. I'll chage the code and I'll wait for google bot to spider it.

Ok. Google spidered the site. The results are the following:

The seach querry barabulete (http://www.google.com/search?q=barabulete) returned firstly the test1.html and then test2.html

In conclusion the order in page is a factor that affects the result.

PS: As a friend of mine suggested, i will replace the nonsense phrases in the documents and then i'll redo the test for real content to see the changes.

I've just saw that this thread has 176 views and 4 replies.

It seems that nobody will share their results. Do you really think that you're techniques are so "secret". If you think so, I'll show you that is not as you thought.

I'll continue publishing the tests results trying to reveal some myths.

I do not say that here will be tested all factors used in google algo(that it's impossible if you are not working ot google :) ), but most of them will be.

So, came back to see them.

Have a nice day.

If it was me I would now switch the contents of test1.html and test2.html and then see if test2.html will be returned first before jumping to the conclusion.

Used files: test3.html, test4.html, test5.html

Links to files:
hxxp://www.optimizari.ro/test3.html
hxxp://www.optimizari.ro/test4.html
hxxp://www.optimizari.ro/test5.html

Files description:
test3.html - contains in title and the body text word with french accents
test4.html - contains in title normal text and in the body text word with french accents
test5.html - contains both in title and the body text word without accents

Test decription: google:fr used for tests
query google for barabulete without any accents:
http://www.google.fr/search?q=barabulete

SERP: test5.html, test4.html
TEST3.HTML DOESN'T APPEAR AT ALL.

query google.fr for barabulété with french accents:
http://www.google.fr/search?q=barabul%C3%A9t%C3%A9&num=10&hl=fr&lr=&filter=0

SERP: test4.html, test5.html, test3.html

TEST CONCLUSION:
when searching without accents the page that contains normal accent in text and title appers first

when searching with accents, is best to optimise with normal words in tiltle and with accented words in body text.
