When Google originally came out the GUI was a breath of fresh air and really simple to use but now it seams its just as complicated as everyone else! I am trying to create a search engine shoutgo.com that re-captures the essence of simple searching. Does anyone else agree?

Personally I think that google is only as complicated as you make it. The homepage is still extremely fast loading and it gives you several simple options. There is still nothing more than needed on the homepage. The search results are very fast, and although not always perfectly relevant, they are still better than any other search engine out there.

Hi apponez...interesting engine. I find it slightly ironic that you bash Google yet have AdSense on the side of every page :p
The results seem to be dominated by .co.uk sites from what I see, especially for pages beyond the first... but results are fairly relevant for the 4 terms I searched. Is the engine designed to seek out English sites more so than others?
It seems to have the "feel" of Google, also. Very simple and quick loading (good) and even mentions how many sites have been indexed.
anyway, good luck!

I thought so too. ;)
Nice interface btw, but the results are not-so-relevant for 9 search terms I tried.
However, I don't know how many times I've said this, but once again "google sucks lately", and as we seen in the SE relevency challenge, Yahoo is the deserving victor!
