View Full Version : Good websites to find affiliate partners?

While we've created 'real' affiliate schemes and done both ends of xml feeds I've never really researched finding/supplying basic xml feed schemes to people we have no previous relationship with; are there good marketplaces?

Its for a client who doesn't want to develop a full scheme so just wants us to find people who can deal with straight xml (so I'm needing to find techies not people wanting their hands held) It would be possible to develop it into a 'proper' scheme but they want to start pushing it out immediately and I'm thinking there must be a market for people who just want a straight feed and a higher commission (flights).

Obviously all the big aggregator type companies are already covered - I'm looking for individual savvy webmasters now - I really just need to know what sites you people go to when you're looking for this stuff :)

Hi Gurtie,

I think I understand what you are asking. What types of products are you pushing out of this feed? When you say (flights) are we talking airline tickets? A little more info please so we can better help you.

Thanks, Linda

Thanks Linda,

In this case we want to develop more outlets so they can increase their committed seats and improve the choice to their own clients so it's actually excess/additional inventory on their own flights - best suited to a UK or Spanish site.

OK thanks that helps. One thing that comes to mind right away is that affiliates could perceive this as a little bit risky. Sort of like promoting closeouts or refurbished equipment, limited supply and inventory changes alot, so affiliates could be sending traffic to a flight that's already sold out. Hopefully the higher commissions make up for that.

Well the best thing I can think of to suggest, is to post on the UK Affiliate Forum. Post in the Affiliate Lounge, which seems to be the busiest and be sure to put "travel affiliates - advice needed" or something with the word travel in the subject, to help you attract more of the right readers. Then post a similar question over there. You should get more targeted UK resources there and may pick up a few good affiliates in the process. :)
