...the way New Posts is set up is driving me crazy. Ditto with Subscribed Threads. I'd like to be able to have some sort of manual control over clearing the unread indicators.

Right now, monitoring new topics requires a monolithic chunk of attention, not always convenient.

OK, I've asked the developers to add a Today's Posts link next to the New Posts link you already see. It glitches for me on occasion, as well when my session expires, so this should help....

Robert, can you start a new thread and explain the problem you're having with subscribed threads? I don't use the feature much, depending instead on monitoring new posts. So it would help to know more.

Danny - My problem with the Subscribed Threads is essentially what we've all been seeing with the New Posts... Unless I look at them in one session, I don't get to see them all. If there's a glitch, or I go elsewhere for a moment, they're often gone when I come back.

I've taken to keeping both the New Posts and the Subscribed Posts open in separate windows and then right clicking each thread, but often I don't want to keep minimized open windows sitting around all day. Seems to me a much more useful setup on New Posts would be a list that clears or changes the indicator thread by thread... either as I read each thread, or, preferably, as I reset it.

Sometimes, there's a long discussion going on when I'm busy, and I want some sort of indicator, which I can manually control, reminding me that I want to get back to it.

The Today's Posts link is a great addition, but sometimes it's a couple of days before I can get back to a particularly meaty Subscribed thread.
