If we compare two types of content - one without formatting at all and one (the same content) with the header-formatting ("<h1>" etc.) in........

Is there any REAL suggestion, that google will rank the formattet one higher?

If inbound linking were the same yes. Read any of the numerous posts here about the basics of optimization.
