I have never seen this. Is this common?

I use IE6 to search my top term 'saltwater fishing charters' which is a #1 rank for me.
I do the same in FireFox and am nowhere to be found.

I tried other terms same thing.
I cleared out my history, my cache, same thing.

I double checked to make sure I was on the same Google address so I just typed *ww.google.com in the bar.

I even took the search string out of firefox address bar after the search where I had no results and pasted it in IE6 address bar and poof my results are there.

FireFox is showing my old results for 'saltwater fishing reports' #80
IE6 is showing new results at #3

Craziest thing I ever did see. Even the total results are different

My site is 'FinTalk' and those who check this may not see my site at all depending on what hour it is during the day because my results are appearing and disappearing all day long for the last week.
One minute I am #1 for 'saltwater fishing charters' and one minute that term doesn't even bring my site up.

Anyway has anybody noticed this difference in bwoser results before?

Calm down...

Google is based on datacenters, and each datacenter uses its data. When you tipe www.google.com or google.es or whatever you want, Google is redirecting you to a datacenter. This datacenter I think is choosen for you depending maybe on where do you live (because I most get the same). Firstly you should search and then click cache link and then URL will transform in a colection of numbers and then you got your datacenter. If they are different there's no mistery.

give it a few more days and things will settle down a bit...

Google uses load balancing servers, so you get different DC's depending on how hard the DC closest to you is working..

Yes thats probably good advice.

Now IE6 and FireFox giving same results for me - Both Top 5 ranks for my top keywords. And they seem to have stayed up most of the day - first time that has happened all week.

Appreciate the info folks - Thanks!
