I've read Google's Terms and Conditions, but it all seems a little bit unclear.

What is the score as regards running ads from other companies, such as Casale, Burst, Fast Click, Tribal Fusion, Value Click and so on, alongside Google's ads?

Can we do it, or not?

I think if they look like google ads then you cant. also there might be some stipulation on whether or not they are contextually targeted.

from their adsense program policies
https://www.google.com/adsense/policies

We do not permit Google ads or search boxes accessing Google search services to be published on web pages that also contain what could be considered competing ads or services. If you have elected to receive contextually-targeted Google ads, this would include all other contextually-targeted ads or links on the same page as Google ads. This would also include ads throughout the site that mimic Google ads or otherwise appear to be associated with Google on your site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads do not mimic Google ads. If you have elected to receive Google search services, this would include other search services on the same site and non-Google query-targeted ads. We do allow affiliate or limited-text links.

Yes. That's the bit I was referring to. Clear as mud.

AdSense has given some publishers permission to run AdSense alongside IntelliTXT. But others have been turned down for permission to run AdSense alongside the AdSense "clones" (contextually targeted ads that also resemble AdSense ad units).

You also need to watch the ad networks that *also* run AdSense in their ad rotation - most allow you to turn of AdSense from displaying in the rotation. But if you don't, and the ad network runs AdSense on the same page as you run your own AdSense, that will also be in violation of the policies. But as long as you ensure the ad network does not also display AdSense on your pages, you can run them with AdSense without any problems.
