I am seeing a new Yahoo homepage as of about 1:40pm (CST). However, the coworker sitting across from me can't see it.

Anyone else seeing it? Seems to me they are either rolling it out slowly, or just doing some testing.

Yeah... there's a message:

"We are testing a new front page. Please send us your feedback."

Does it look like this? Because that was reported back in May 31, 2004 but never was established as of yet.

I also saw this new (at least to me) Yahoo! search page yesterday searching from Canada. The Shortcuts link allowed you to choose what types of web pages you wanted to see. This new page is no longer there today.

Looks like they are doing some testing...

Yeah... it was that homepage, but this was the first time I've seen it.

Some older discussion of this, and a way that everyone can enable this, is over in this thread: Yahoo! new result layout (http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145)

I'd missed the Yahoo! shortcuts last time around. It seems that they're very similar to the Google shortcuts.

I thought there was a new one in typing in an area code and being given the area. For example 514 in Yahoo! gives you Montreal. However lo and behold Google does exactly the same thing. It's beginning to look as though you can run your whole life via a search engine. I guess the big decision is which search engine to use!

After refreshing while doing a search about 6:pm - suddenly a New design appeared - completely diffferent from the page just left.

with a light blue and tan design motif and less graphics and links
