Google lets advertisers pick sites

I was reading an article that was discussing how Google is now letting advertisers pick the sites they want their ads to show up on. Have any of you noticed a decline possibly as a result of this? Over tha past month we have seen out Adsense dollar nearly vanish and this is the only thing we can attribute it to. We have also noticed that we are not getting as many ads from major companies like we used to.

What are your thoughts on combatting this?
