Visitors vs. Ad Impressions

I'm wondering how Adsense calculates ad impressions...I've had a page that received around 100 unique visitors a day for a while now, and there are usually 3-4 ad impressions recorded for those days...where are those impressions going? I just started up my adsense campaign, and it's been running for about 2 weeks.

Those unique visitors maybe bots or browsers with javascript turned off.

Randolph, are you sure that the 3-4 "impressions" a day are not actually AdSense visits? I would seriously doubt that 96% of your visits are from bots or non-Java-enabled browsers...

i find that difficult to believe as well..but that seems to be the case.

i've noticed a distinct discrepancy between my unique visitors and ad impressions (beyond a reasonable expectation)..something like 1 in 5 vistiors results in an ad impression.

I'm hoping that as I increase traffic to these sites, I will be able to measure more closely...

what i would really like is some decent web analytics...alas, I chose to host with godaddy, and i hate their stats program.
