I recently discovered that the .co.uk version of my site has been sandboxed.

I do however have the .com also, which is currently not indexed at all, i was wondering if theres anything i can do with it a) to avoid itself being sandboxed, and b) to help its .co.uk brother out of the sticky stuff?

I know i need to tread carefully with it, what would people recommend?

Thanks

One thing that I would do is build links at a slow (natural) pace for any new site to the internet. Its easy to find a nice few links that can help your site, but I would break them out over a period of time to make it seem more natural. Adding too many links too fast could be one of the many things that sets it off.

Thats one thing I would do.

Buy an old domain or take an old domain - pre 2003 - and build links to that. Then 301 re-direct it to the new URL...

I do like randfish idea of getting new url, if you're not too picky about your domain names, then things should be good.

Rand, you've tried that and it works?

What do you mean by "sandboxing"? Many people use the term very loosely, and often with conflicting ideas of what constitutes the sandbox.

I've seen domains from 2002 held back from ranking for keywords extensively built for.
