Help me in creating Blog

Hi,

I just want to create a blog for my site. What are all the points I should take in to account when I do this?
Can anyone help me, as this is the first first blog Iam going to create.

I have 4 sites. all are mortgage related but for different states.
I want to create blog, just to advertise about my site and to increase the traffic.
Shall i create one blog, containing the details of all 4 sites or create 4 different blogs.
which one will be better. Pls give me suggesion.

You should create a blog that you can contribute to at least 3 times per week. The content of the blog must provide the end user with value. If it does not, then the blog won't help much for your promotional efforts.

So do 1 blog, focus on it and then when you get the hang of that one blog, go on.
