The SEO Copywriter / Content Analyst works closely with all project teams to provide Web site copy and plays an integral role in the development of client Web sites by analyzing, recommending, managing and generating site content. A professional communicator capable of grasping communication challenges and devising written solutions, the writer/analyst has a well-rounded knowledge of the Web, as well as thorough familiarity with leading trends in search engine optimization and search marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with team to determine search engine optimization project plan
- Conducting keyword research and analysis
- Analyzing client's Web site content
- Guiding the development of a project's content strategy
- Collaborating with creative team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction of online initiatives
- Re-purposing, editing and creating content for site development
- Translating copy tone development brief into engaging and effective site copy
- Continuously improving Web site content, keeping up-to-date with SEO strategies and algorithms
- Maintaining high standards of copywriting
- Reporting on search engine optimization campaigns: rankings, traffic and revenue
Required Skills:
- A degree or diploma in English, Communications, Marketing or a related field
- Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for varied projects with diverse audiences
- Familiarity with search engine marketing practices including organic search, paid listings and paid inclusion
- Experience with using WordTracker and researching keyword phrases
- Ability to embed keywords within content to improve search engine rankings while still providing compelling information for visitors
- Minimum one year of Marketing/Communications experience in a Web-focused company or agency
- Detail-oriented and attentive proofreader
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, WebPosition Gold and Internet browsers
- Ability to work both independently and contribute as part of the production team
