Hi guys,

I'm thinking of splurging the $299 for a directory listing, but my site, has one major section dedicated to evaluating online poker rooms. Does this violate Yahoo directory's "no gambling site" policy? According to the user agreement:

Please note: Yahoo! Directory does not accept listings for online gambling sites and prescription drug sites. Online gambling sites are those that have gambling as their central theme, including those that accept wagers or require payment in exchange for the chance to win prizes, as well as sites that offer both information and links related primarily to the promotion of online gambling.

In certain UK categories there are sites that are listed as gambling sites, but in the section I want to submit to, most of the sites are not about "real money" gambling.

Does anyone have any experience submitting sites related to, not but dedicated to gambling?

Thanks!

P.S. I noticed directory listings in Yahoo are linked like this:

http://rds.yahoo.com/S=

Does that allow spiders to recognize a link to your page?

Did you ever find an answer to your question? I too have a site that has links to gambling sites (Poker).

I suppose I can understand not allowing you to be listed in the US, where some states outlaw online gambling. But what about abroad? In the UK, the express submission process has been discontinued, the only way for an Express submission is the use the US site!

Its like a Catch-22!
