My web site is kicking but in yahoo but no where to be found in Google. So I took a look at keywords, IBL's and PR for the top web sites in Google when searching for the most popular keyword. The obvious disperity is PR and the age of the sites. My web site is new compared to the other guys.

I have some good IBL from pr 5 and 6 sites just like these other guys. By all accounts, I'm beating competitor 1 and 2 but my PR is still low. Is this the sandbox theory in action? If so, what is the sandbox and how do you get out of it?

-------------------Total Links----Google Links-----Home Page PR
Competitor 1-------10820---------250-------------6
Competitor 2-------83358---------3170------------7
My Web Site----245878--------785-------------3
Competitor 4-------560979--------23400----------7

lots of posts about what is the sandbox

toolbar pagerank display only updates quarterly so that may be one reason why your pagerank is lower than your competitors

The short of the sandbox - newer domains are less likely to rank for their anchor text keywords.

The long of the sandbox:
