SEO SPECIALIST POSITION
BizRate, a leading Comparison Shopping Search Engine, is looking for a talented and experienced SEO Specialist to oversee all of the natural search optimization for the BizRate.com site. The position will provide an opportunity to work on diverse projects that will have an immediate impact to our bottom line.
The perfect candidate will have at least 3 years experience of optimizing web pages for such sites as Google, Yahoo, and MSN. A complete understanding of search engine trends and search engine algorithms is a must.
As our Search Engine Optimization Specialist, you will:
Lead a team of technical and product development resources in identifying and implementing improvements to the site that result in higher natural search listings
Be responsible for all aspects of search engine optimization strategy and implementation
Perform detailed site analysis and document tactics to enhance BizRate's presence in natural search results
Manage the workflow of various team-members (i.e. Web Developers, Engineers, DBA's, etc.) with regard to site optimization
Optimize the various site components including copy, page title/descriptions, site architecture, filenames, etc.
Lead a Quality Assurance team, ensuring that new site pages follow proper SEO guidelines with respect to coding and adherence to established copy/keyword standards
Be responsible for setting up and reporting on overall SEO program success with regard to URL ranking changes, traffic changes, etc
Be responsible for reviewing the data regularly and optimizing poor performing listings
Use ever-increasing SEO knowledge and research to develop and recommend new SEO strategies to management
Keep up date knowledge of current SEO practices; must maintain awareness of various SEO resources
And, you will have the following qualifications:
A complete understanding of search engine trends and search engine algorithms
Must be knowledgeable about Java Script and CSS
Experience with WordTracker and online keyword analysis
Ability to communicate instructions, expectations and deadlines clearly and effectively
Experience with leading search engine ranking, traffic and analysis software (Web Position Gold, Webtrends, etc.)
Comfort with presenting new ideas and strategies to executive team Outstanding written communication and presentation skills
5-7 years work experience with web metrics, metrics solutions, data analysis, of which 3 years must be SEO/SEM experience
