Everyone and their mothers have affiliate programs. A lot of us have been selling Amazon or other sites products for sometime.
What are you making and what do you feel is the potential for affiliate stores?
My current best was $400 /month with a home recording equipment store.
Oh and I know you can get more out of your site with Adsense and other programs like that, but I just want to hear about the affiliate portion a site.

some people joining my affiliate program are making XXXXX / day

odds are that most smart affiliate marketers are not going to want to disclose specifics about their sites or business verticles. most likely this thread will attract comments from affiliate program managers or not so savvy affiliates.

Why? I am not asking for the site url or even the industry. I just gave one becasue I sold that site awhile ago and didn't care if the whole world created affiliates for that one.
Just a /month figure would do

i would be incredibly interested in hearing some info on this as well....it's something I've thought about doing for a while now....how about this:
does anyone care to share advice on good, letigitmate services (as this seems like an area one could easily get burned in, if they weren't careful)...or what to expect?

There are other issues with affiliate sites nowadays because of AdSense.
Sometimes it can be a toss-up between the traffic heading toward affiliate clicks and conversions or clicking on AdSense, if both are on the site. It's to a big degree dependent on how the pages are set up.

That is true but I have found that you can easily have both on a site while maintaining site relevancy and integrity.
Setting up a site with a well placed affiliate store structure works well rather then scattering a few products on certain pages. If you have information with adsense then the people coming to the site looking for knowledge might click on the ads while the people entering the site for products will go to the store pages and buy product.
Representing a site with a clear storefront and having information pages with adsense does work.

I agree totally - plus I think you are in a better position to hard sell affiliate stuff, whereas with Adsense you need to kinda shy away from it in fear of the almightly Google ban! ;)
Now if Google launched a CJ style affiliate brokerage where you could really get down and sell stuff on your sites - well that would be great! :D You reading this GoogleGuy? :p
