DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
This manager is responsible for supporting the Marketing team in understanding the impact of online and offline marketing initiatives on the Website and Phone. This is accomplished primarily by analyzing and synthesizing primary data from analytics solutions (e.g., CoreMetrics, HitWise, COGNOS PowerPlay, and internal systems) and other sources. This manager would need to be able to figure out the drivers impacting 1) direct to the web site visit performance (type in our URL or natural search results), 2) targeted visits (portals, email, affiliates), 3) phone and 4) overall business. A few additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Analyze and document the impact of traffic and conversion to the web site and phone, from Marketing channels, such as, TV, radio, catalogs, emails, and other drivers
· Responsible for conducting A/B testing on the site, usability testing, focus groups and surveys to understand from the customer perspective how we can better communicate and position our products and services to prospects and existing customers
· Monitor daily and monthly feature, collection, and promotional performance, working closely with members on the team and Merchandising to optimize the real estate on the site.
· Develop presentations to communicate analysis to internal and external audiences.


REQUIRED SKILLS & TRAITS
The candidate will be required to help create new processes and expand our analytics capabilities. The model candidate will have an inquisitive nature and tenacity for problem-solving. This person must also have enthusiasm for synthesizing large amounts of information, identifying key findings, and the ability to articulate the lessons learned and recommendations. Communicating effectively in verbal, written, and visual form for a variety of audiences is a necessity. The candidate should also have the ability to interface with systems professionals in order to develop/refine decision support systems and ensure data integrity. Finally, the candidate must be able to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting, and must conduct all work accurately and ethically.


REQUIRED EXPEREINCE
The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years experience in marketing, brand or business planning, also with proficiency in Excel. The candidate must also have experience working with online analytic solutions, such as: WebTrends, Coremetrics, Omiture, and WebSide Story to name a few. Lastly, on-line retailing and merchandising background is required.

PREFERRED EXPEREINCE
The ideal candidate should possess a Master’s degree in marketing or business; have experience with measuring and analyzing consumer behavior, especially in the retail or Internet marketing fields. Practice with statistical analysis (regression, factor, or cluster analysis) and Access. Presentation skills with PowerPoint.
