What happened last night to cause this?

sometimes those numbers get inflated with bot activity, but another major day in terms of guest numbers just happened a week or so ago.
I suspect that the combination of the recent Google fluctuations, MSN & Ask Search news, and PCDS (post conference depression/or "discussion" if you wish- syndrome) play a little into how busy we are lately.

It's always good to see a forum's community grow. I was a lurker experiencing PCDS after SES Chicago 04 and help modeator another forum as well, so I understand the fluxuations

When search engine bots all converge at the same time, it can create very inflated numbers - Googlebots, Yahoo! Slurp, plus Gigabots and Jetbots all at the same time can lead to guest figures in the region of the high hundreds.
