The more I have read and heard about the 302 exploit, the more curious I have become. Since my website,googleadvisor.org (Google Advisor) is still relatively new (2 months old), I have to admit that I am a little worried that someone can take advantage of my lack of pagerank and do a 302 on the site. I was just wondering if anyone has been the vicitim of this exploit, and if so, how it affected your ranking and traffic. I have heard that entire websites can be deleted from the Google index, and I am sure it is true. I'd just like to accumulate as much information as possible about. Also, does anyone know any means by which a website may be protected? Thanks

Hi

This happened to us by accident - we had 3 URL, 2 of which were poiting to the main one. The main one left the index, with the other 2 being featured as just links and crap PageRank. I finally had these 2 removed but the main one is still not back in the index 5.5 months later...

The site was wwwdotmaptraxdotcomdotau

Some people have reported doing the 302 hijack exploit back, and leaving it up just long enough to submit a request for removal of the other page. Sounds risky if someone isn't real precise about it.

I've also seen a hijack by a back-end script using meta-refresh.
