Google: The next Microsoft?

How long do you think it will be until Google is held in the same regards as Microsoft?

Personally I think it will occur sooner rather than later.

But then I think to myself, will it matter one bit. People still choose M$ products despite the upsurgence of other technologies 'cos thats all they know.

Ok, but Google is different to M$ as it has competitors.

So, how long and will it matter?

hopefully never.

just because a company can be greed driven and cut throat does not indicate that they will be that way.

eventually an operating system will replace M$. give it 20 yrs at the most :)
