Hi there,
I’ve been seeing that Yahoo search is showing a lot of pages generate as BLOGS. (Blogger)
Is that happening because Yahoo’s Slurp is too young? Just check Google…it is more quite about this now.

different relevancy algorithms place different weighting on various ranking elements.
Slurp is one of the oldest crawlers out there.

Yahoo seems to love blogs, and the only way to describe their crawler is "energetic." Yahoo is actually quite snappy with picking up new pages, and imho keeps their index nice and fresh.
Have I mentioned lately that I love Yahoo? ;)

I love Yahoo too!
That’s why I am worried about the quantity of Weblogs that Yahoo! is showing in their web results.
One of my best friends loves to bet on horses and show me the situation.
Just search breeders cup betting (http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=breeders+cup+betting&sp=1&ei=UTF-8&fl=0&fr=FP-tab-web-t-223&SpellState=n-623395301_q-Y%2FVE1045lk3XS09obP5UxAABAA%40%40) and surprise! I was in shock that 9 of the 10 web results were weblogs from the same people!!
I just hope that the Yahoo’s search experience do not come to bore!
:(

Marcia, I am agreeing with you. Thanks God AllTheWeb was changing across the time.
For the next SE Strategies Conference I will try to ask to some of the Yahoo’s company representative about this situation and how they are going to stop this kind of Spamming sites.
As soon as I get some info, I will let you know.

Carlos, that can happen without any spamming at all, if a lot of pages are picked up from the same site for the same keyword.

Marcia, I understand that a web site which gets ranked with many keywords is not a spamming Web site, obviously if the structure and keywords density are SE friendly.
But in this particular case, they are many different pages (blogger) with the same content!

I don't know about the example above, but Yahoo loves my blog and ranks me #1 out of 2.6 million.
So I LOVE YAHOO TOO! :p
