If one had to standardize on a specific service - say ComScore or Nielsen - to determine the top engines along with percentage of search traffic, which would you use?
This is for the purpose of reporting to clients. In other words, which service would you say is more authoritative? If you had to choose the top 5 or 10 by number of pure search traffic, which one do you think is more accurate AND more authoritative? By authoritative I mean, if one had to answer to one's clients as to why one chose to report on a certain list of engines, and what the search traffic percentage was for each one, which would you choose and why?
