Recently, the domination of Yahoo and Google has witnessed an interesting convergence of portal and search engine. Yahoo has been continually improving its own search cabalities to better tap the power of the web. Conversely, Google while expanding its search has been rapidly expanding its services and moving into the realm of a portal.
My questions are as follows：
-Does this convergence note a fusion of search and service is necessary to acheive the correct amount of personalization for future searches?
-Why is Google straying from its bread and butter and vice versa?
-What does this say for the future of web searching?
