Hello, everyone. Several days ago I added a listing to Looksmart Looklistings and it was approved. After two days, the listing received 67 clicks but during the two days, at any time when I searched the keyword I couldn't seen the listing. Anyone has ever experienced the thing? In addition, I feel that Looksmart's keyword pricing tool isn't exact. Anyone would like to help me? Thanks in advance.

from what I know looksmart has lots of rubbish traffic partners which provide things like automated bot traffic

when you buy into a looksmart listing you are likely buying into a bunch of stuff that you would not want to buy into

Thank you for your reply, seobook. I know looksmart has some shortcomings but my consumer want to do it. I am very confused now. My listing has received the clicks but from beginning to end I can't see my listing in search result. Seobook, please give me some advice about how I should handle it. Thank you.

1.) are you tracking your traffic
2.) if not you probably want to, but you can also look in your server logs and see where your traffic is coming from.

I've had similar issues with Looksmart and have had to request refunds on several occasions for surges in traffic. You really have to watch your logs with them so make sure you add a tracking url.

Their system is very confusing and I'm a seasoned Looksmart advertiser. I rarely saw any conversions from this network so I basically took most of my clients off their system. What's strange though - even after cancelling, my client's ads are still there in the sponsored section.

LookSmart unveils 4 new vertical "portals" today.

From BusinessWire;

"After analyzing audience and research data from FindArticles, LookSmart has developed five separate vertical content destinations, including homework helpers: the trendy www.teenja.com for teens; the more studious www.gradewinner.com for "tweens;" and www.24hourscholar.com for college students. Two additional resources are dedicated to parents -- www.parentsurf.com for all family matters, and www.gobelle.com for moms on the go."
