Cheapflights.com is an internet media company & publishes travel deals.
Cheapflights.com launched in the USA in May 2003 and has had a very successful first year in the USA market. Cheapflights.com has over 950,000 unique users a month and is a top 20 USA travel agent website (Hitwise), all with under $100k spent on advertising.
Whilst Cheapflights.com is essentially a start-up it comes with the backing, and successful history of its UK parent Cheapflights.co.uk. Cheapflights was founded in 1996 and is now the only top 10 UK travel website that is profitable, has grown exclusively out of cash flow, has not spent millions of dollars on advertising and remains privately-owned.

President USA

Direct Reports:
SEO/ PPC Manager
Affiliations Manager
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
• Online marketing strategy & ROI of all advertising
• Acquisition of opt-in email newsletter addresses
• Identifying, appraising and implementing marketing opportunities/ partnerships
• Co-ordination and monitoring of Affiliations, PPC & SEO teamwork (and syndication in due course)
• Bottom line accountability for successful rapid traffic growth of Cheapflights.com
• Monthly/ Yearly budgeting and reporting

Key Tasks:
• Responsible for budgeting and achieving rapid growth of market share of cheapflights.com
• Management of all marketing communications in the US market, ensuring consistency with the global business and brand.
• Cross learning and co-ordination with UK Marketing team.
• Management and optimization of email acquisition strategy with quantifiable targets for both quality & volume of emails.
• Management on all domestic online advertising activity
• Establishment of a network of partnerships in the US Market, driving traffic, SEO and brand awareness in a cost effective manner.
• Exploitation of tactical marketing opportunities as they arise
• Accountability for US marketing team which includes SEO Manager and Affiliations Manager.


Skills required:

• Internet Marketing Professional with a minimum of 5 years specific experience in a comparably competitive marketplace.
• Proven experience of developing and working to targets with a high degree of accountability within a supportive environment
• Excellent communicator & presentation skills
• Proven Managerial skills
• Evidenced Budgeting skills
• Organisational & time management skills
• Self Starter
• Excel/ Word/ Powerpoint proficient
• Analytical and numerate
• You’ll be bright eyed

Qualifications:

College degree essential and excellent references required
