Due to increasing online business activity, we are looking for a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Specialist to join our expanding Online Business Team. Reporting to the Website Development Manager, your position will focus on the continued optimisation and development of the companys websites, through the planning and implementation of improvements designed to enhance our organic search listings and rankings.
Core Responsibilities:
Work with the Website Development Manager in planning and tracking all aspects of Search Engine Optimisation strategy.
Work with the Web Marketing Assistant to co-ordinate keyword research.
Optimise various site components including copy, headings, page titles, site architecture, filenames, etc.
Manage and implement link building strategies.
Keep up to date with current affairs and developments in the Search Marketing industry.
To record work on an ongoing basis and regularly update the Website Development Manager on progress and outstanding work.
Collaborate with the companys Web Designers to ensure that quality standards are maintained in respect of:
o Corporate branding
o Graphic Appeal
o Commercial functionality
o Usability
As a member of the Online Team the SEO specialist is expected to contribute ideas and work towards the commercial goals of the Online Team.
Key Skills:
SEO experience.
Understanding of search engines, their algorithms and spiders.
Strong copywriting ability
Ability to analyse basic statistical data
Ability to learn new skills and adapt quickly
Strong communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment
Desirable Skills:
Experience of web design, in particular the ability to understand and modify basic HTML.
Proficiency with web authoring packages such as Macromedia Dreamweaver or similar.
Experience of online keyword analysis, including WordTracker and the Overture keyword selection tool.
Knowledge of link popularity campaigns
Up to date knowledge of SEO practices
Experience of working with source protection systems in a collaborative environment.
