I've noticed an interesting thing.. whenever I add a new page to my site, I see a Google spider hitting it almost immediately. Each new page has an AdSense box on it, so I thought that maybe that makes Google take a special interest in my site, but I can't believe that getting The Big G's attention is so easy!

It makes sense, though.. in order to serve content-based ads, Google must read and parse my pages as they are served. They might as well just add this info into their system once they've gotten it, right? Can it be that this gets me (and every other AdSense participant) preferential review for new pages? T'would be sweet! :D

I'm afraid the roles of indexing and AdSense display are apparently pretty separate.

Google has it's googlebot crawler - it indexs page content. It also has the media-bot, which ascertains the relevant context of its advertising. Neither seems dierctly involved in the remit of the other bot.

They are completely separate, and neither bot shares information with the other. It would be a nice perk for publishers if they did share though :p

Are you sure it isn't the AdSense bot you are seeing show up immediately?

Yes, I think it is. It is listed as Media Partners/Google or some such thing. Oh well, wishful thinking on my part!
