I am looking for some research/reports that quantify CTR and their relationship to your ranking. Basically, what are the CTRs of being in position 1, 2, 3 , etc ... I do understand that they vary and there is no concrete CTR, but I would assume there is some research out there that shows some examples and makes some assumptions. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Scott

Note: this is for Organic Results ... not PPC

Hi,

no one seems to have answered you, so I thought I would help. I found this:

atlas (http://www.atlasdmt.com/media/pdfs/insights/RankReport.pdf)

I am not sure its exactly what you are looking for, but I hope it's helpful.

Personally, I think you will find that there is a large disparity of CTR between the first and 5th result. People are always more likely to choose the first thing offered. Users are lazy and they have every right to be.
