Although the blog is not specifically aimed at SEO but includes A.I, bots, computing philosophy, etc... I am always happy to include topics which may be of interest to you. Afterall, those interested in A.I ask me to do this.

It might be a good idea if you suggested topics. I'll include the name of who requested it. The point of it is to provide interesting material, so please feel free.

Xan.

From my (limited) experience of starting a blog:

Entry 1: what the blog is about and what it won't cover
2: some jargon / abbreviations I'll use explained and defined
3: how to contact me, make suggestions etc

Link to these from the side menu so you can point people at them when you are ask the same q's for nth time ;)

Ask for topics, I'd suggest:

- Lessons from other types of information retrieval that can be applied a) when searching and b) for SEO

- What not to do (Ok, that's broad)

- AI. What it is, what it can do for search and SEO, what it can't do now, specualtion on future, which companies/research groups to watch

That's my 2ps worth

Xan, you made a very interesting post on search and SEO's last night - tried posting, but there was an issue with the server, apparently.

Anyway, the short: SEO's as data-streamliners, rather than data-miners. :)

And a closer relationship can only be constructive.

Thanks for the tips KeywordMonkey, but I meant what technical issues people would like me to cover. :)

Hi, all

I have moved this thread from the Relevancy and Tech section to here since is about generic topics. Let's keep in mind that so far SEWF policies do no allow site reviews.

Cheers

Orion

Hi orion,

thanks for the reminder, but I am certainly not asking for a site review. Its not there to be pretty and rank and all that. Its about offering information. It seems fair enough that people tell me if they want something specific covered, but I can always do this some other way if necessary. I don't want to make a pain of myself!

As requested, here is the URL:

thanks for the reminder, but I am certainly not asking for a site review. Thanks for the clarification, xan. Still the thread was moved here since is does not seem to deal with a specific search technology or relevancy topic. It is welcome as a canvas for general discussions.
