Like Lycos, Google (http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/showthread.php?t=3926) and MSN (http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/showthread.php?p=32654#post32654) before them, AOL now redirects users based on their IP address.
I'm not sure how long they've been doing this, but I know I used to get to AOL.com directly from the UK. Not that I go there much.
Now it redirects to aol.co.uk. There is a way around this - AOL Int. page (http://www.aol.co.uk/international/) allows you to bypass this.
