Assuming my site is accepted by Yahoo for a directory listing, what are the factors which can get my site listing close to the top of the directory search results for my chosen keyword? Or where can I go to learn this?
You can't. Rankings in the Directory are alphabetical.

You guys should read the post before replying.
Persoanlly I don't have a good idea how to rank better in the diretcory search results, although click popularity seems to be one factor.
