Hello to all

I am a newbie to these forums so please go easy on me....lol........

I have ended up here in desperation.

My site was built using dynamic pages within a frame set  ......Due to budget problems this site will have to do.I am totally programing illiterate but do have access to a very good web designer that can help but is not experienced in this aspect...

So if anyone can help with suggestions on courses of action to help correct this problem and possibly even steer me in the direction of corrective measures as well it would be very appreciative.

I would like to be able to properly promote and have my site indexed.....lol.......Thank you.

If you really want to fix the problems of indexing and promoting individual pages, you should remove the frames. This might require you to build a navigation structure as your current navigation may be in your frameset but I think you will find it very worthwhile. Other than that you can optimize the content that appears in between the <noframes> tags but if all you have is a home page that then changes interior frame content, that is not going to help you much.

hard to say much more without actually seeing the site in question.

Welcome to the forums - hope we can be of any help :)

The first problem you have to deal with is the fact that your website is NOT on the above domain. On that domain is just a frameset that frame your "real" site that looks like a standard shop solution from insta. So the only thing any search engine would ever see on your domain is this text (found in the framneset):

Yak's Computers
This page uses frames, but your browser doesn't support them

That's probably not going to take you far :)

So, in order to get this website real uptimized I am afraid to say you have a great deal of work to do. The only two loopholes I can find is:

- Paid placement (AdWords, Overture etc)
- Information Pages (not the same as doorway pages!)

Both could give you some trafic and is pretty easy to do and it dosn't require you entire domain strategy and site to be rebuild.

If you do a search here or on other forums you should find plenty of information about Information Pages

Thank you for the welcome, this site is very helpfull and has some great posts and i could problay just sit here and read for a week....lol......

It funny that you mentioned both of those solutions as adwords was somthing i am working on and the information page was somthing my web designer actually mentioned, but i thought i was ask the pro's......

Thanks for the help guys.......
