Wouldn't Lycos fit perfectly with Ask Jeeves multi-brand, multi-portal, multi-search entry point strategy? I can just imagine iWon, Excite, MyWay, and Lycos under the Jeeves umbrella. It would consolidate the entire second tier of portals. Makes too much sense to me.

and Lycos used to be a crawler... what happened? Well, it might fit into Ask's portfolio....

Some Korean company bought Lycos. Wonder why Jeeves didn't go for them. What was the $400 million shelf for??? I wonder if Lycos even survives now? Too bad.
