Just been looking through the software that I have installed and what I use daily and if there is anything better out there.

I currently use Edit pad lite, end of the month I will be shelling out a little cash for the pro version. For one I need the spell checker and a few of the other features would be nice to have as well. FTP Smart has been my uploading tool of choice for a while now, seems to be pretty straight forward to use and is near idiot proof.

For any image work I need to do I use either Fireworks or Photoshop7 and if I need to quickly crop/rotate an image then I use Irfanview.

What do others use?

Thankfully at work we dont do a lot of design work, so there are only a few copies of Homesite and Dreamweaver around. I use notepad if anything needs updating quick or else its done in Editpad.

I found Irfanview a few years ago and have used it ever since, for the size of the download its pretty impressive. With the rights plugin it can do almost everything I require.
