With Google starting the Email service (Gmail) with an idea that you should never have to delete mail and you should always be able to find the message you want , how about Google starting an ecards service , service which allows people to share their feelings with their loved ones.
eMail : http://gmail.google.com
Greeting Cards : http://ggreetingcards.google.com

Web Portals like Yahoo and MSN ( Do they compete with Google or just another search engine) which have merged with American Greetings (paid cards) to offer cards, and Google being a free site can merge with 123Greetings offering free ecards content through their associates program.(I am unable to see American Greetings offering an content syndication anymore.)

Just a suggestion for Google, let me know what you all think and if google does starts with it. Wish I could get something offering an idea for Google, just kiddin.

I don't really know whether this is a right place to post. Any comments...

I think that would be a bad call for their brand IMHO...can't really fit greeding cards into the organizing the worlds information and making it universally accessible theme

This is a brilliant idea...I'm surprised no one ever thought of it before. Anyway, I think Google should hire you. They're always looking for visionary people and with ideas like those within six months your name will be here http://www.google.com/press/management.html

and we'll gladly keep an eye and email you as soon as that happens. Just keep refreshing the e-mail page so you find out right away.

Welcome to SEW, jitenjain.
In addition to MSN, American Greetings has deals with Yahoo and AOL, so anything's possible I guess. IMO though, it would be better for Google if they would concentrate more on search.

jitenjain,

Probably a good idea, but somehow I think the people at Google have already thought of this. IMO it would need to be a further development of Gmail. That would leave a lot of people like me out. I have no interest in a Gmail account, but that is where a card service should be tied in IMO. Not sure why Google got into the e-mail business. IMO they should keep their attention focused on search and not e-mail, or e-cards. Since they chose to get involved in the e-mail war then they probably should add e-cards. Hopefully the team involved in G-mail is completely different and much smaller than the teams involved in search.

Thanks for the reply. You never know what do they think, they were search engine, with launch of shopping as Froogle, no information is provided but a online shopping mall
We never knew that wud start an email service and major email service providers like Hotmail,Yahoo increased their data space.

So with MSN,Yahoo,AOL,Netscape, all having a greetings service , Google can have it as well,
and there are various other sites I can see who have merged with 123Greetings to offer an ecards service.

I dun know whether Google employees/representatives visits this forum but i want pass my idea to them, is there any way or let's throw this topic to the webmasters/seo/google guys.
I was at my hotmail inbox and saw a link to send a Greeting, at the Yahoo mailbox it's like Send an ecard.

I don't know about these greetings companies but I have seen in majority of the sites tht everywhere it shows like send an ecard and a link to 123Greetings( Might be there affiliate link). so Google too can offer thru Gmail, with a link for Gmail Users having them to send free ecards.

for the record: I was being sarcastic for those who didn't get it. Now if you suggest that they post travel or real estate info. Ooops, never mind that either.
