My site has is fairly new and has not even had a PR on the Google toolbar and I finally just gave up hoping or looking for one. Until unexpectedly I was on one of my fishing report pages and happen to look at the toolbar and I had a PR of 4 and a PR of 5 on my home page. Couldn't believe it, finally got a PR value.
My celebration was short lived as 1 hour later it was gone. Then it was back. Then gone again and so on. The thing is it works for any other page I load of other sites but it has gone wacko for my site.
I found a PR Checker site from a link here and it does indeed say PR 5/10.

My site is www.fintalk.com a fishing site.
Anybody know why the toolbar has gone blinky? Is this common? Should I even care as long as the PR checkers say I have a page rank?

Any input is appreciated. Joe D.

The Google PR indicator on the toolbar has been how do you say "blinky" for the better part of a year now. Don't watch it or worry about it because if you do, you will drive yourself mad. :D

Sounds funny "blinky" - I think I meant "on the blink" LOL

Anyway thats good advice, I think I will TRY not to be so obsessed will the toolbar PR readings.

Take care, Joe

Same thing happened to my site www.rentersinc.com.

It finally settled into a steady PR. I think like everything with Google it just takes time to get disseminated through the various servers Google uses.

But then again when it comes to Google ... who knows! :D

Yea , thats exactly what happened. My toolbar settled down two days letter and has been steady ever since with my new PR of 5.
