Can anyone tell me what the best free keyword monitoring tools are out there?

Do they monitor top engines and archive reports?

why is it free? Do they do anything with your information?

Anything with more engines? Not just google.

I'm also a big fan of DigitalPoint's monitoring facility. The only downside being that the results are based squarely on Google's SERPs. This is where Marketleap's link popularity (http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/) reporting comes into its own. The reports generated allow you to compare backlinks from ALL of the major search engines.

They also offer..
Search Engine Saturation (http://tools.marketleap.com/siteindex/default.htm) - the number of pages a given search engine has in its index for your website domain.
Keyword Verification (http://www.marketleap.com/verify/default.htm) - checks to see if your site is in the top three pages of a search engine result for a specific keyword.

You can save settings for each of the reports, thereby saving you time on your next visit. There are also useful articles for improving your search engine visibility... so all in all, you can't really knock it! :)

E2, The one you have mentioned is keywords suggestion tool and not a monitoring tool.

As I see all over the forum try to avoid immaterial replies and threads and we look for users betterment

Yes members know to Google. Here in forum, members look for a solution rather than advising to search.

Google can give you many such tools for keyword monitoring.

Rank Checker plug in for Firefox (http://tools.seobook.com/firefox/rank-checker/) is a good one as well developed by Aaron Wall... what you do with that one is download the results and date them and then merge for an ongoing record
