Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager
Position Description:
Candidate will manage all search engine optimization and search engine marketing initiatives for the entire Homestore network of sites, as well as act as a consultant for our strategic partners. The SEO Manager will utilize their understanding of search engines and user search behavior to work with in house resources to identify and implement improvements that will improve organic search listings and rankings. SEO manager should be familiar with the basic Internet business models and use that knowledge to maximize traffic yield within the Homestore network.
Job Responsibilities:
§ 100% ownership of SEO strategy and implementation.
§ Must be proactive in making SEO suggestions and following them through to their completion as well as doing the necessary cost/benefit analytics to back up their proposals.
§ Optimize all site components such as: copy, page title & descriptions, site architecture, creative, landing pages etc.
§ Work with the data warehouse group on detailed site analysis by reviewing statistical data regularly and optimizing poor performing areas.
§ The position is also responsible for managing our paid search keyword buys including: maintaining exhaustive keyword lists, creating landing pages when necessary, budgeting/invoicing, and performance analytics.
§ Should feel comfortable working with our outside SEO consultant for larger corporate initiatives.
§ SEO Manager will be responsible for understanding the best practices and industry standards for search engine optimization and search engine marketing.
Job Qualifications:
§ 2-5 years work experience with SEO/SEM projects and data analysis.
§ Superior communication and analytic skills.
§ Understanding of basic Internet technology (HTML, CSS, ASP), IAB standards, and comfortable working with product mgmt and engineering directly.
§ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop.
§ Detail oriented, self-starting individual. Must be able to work with little day-to-day supervision.
§ Real estate knowledge and/or consulting experience a plus.
